Before you install.
Why does Windows say "Windows protected your PC"?
That's SmartScreen, which warns about new downloads until enough people have installed them. Click More info → Run anyway. The Microsoft Store version never shows it.
Why does my Mac say it can't check Pendling?
Apps from outside the App Store need Apple's notarization to open without a question. If you see it, click Done, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway. You only do this once.
Where is it after I install it?
On a Mac it's in the menu bar. On Windows it's in the tray at the bottom right (look under the ^ arrow). On Linux it's in the tray; on GNOME, add the AppIndicator extension to see it. The charm itself hangs from the top of your screen.
Can I move it?
Yes. Drag the little silver pin along the top of the screen and the rope swings after it. Double-click the pin to put it back. It can also hang behind your windows like a decoration.
Will it disturb my calls or screen shares?
While your microphone or camera is in use, sounds mute and reminders wait. You can also have it hide completely while you share your screen.
Does it start when my computer starts?
It asks once, a few seconds after you first open it, and never switches it on without asking. You can change it any time in the menu or Settings.
How do updates work?
Store versions update themselves. For the direct downloads, new versions appear on this page and in What's new.
